Here is what most people do when they learn how to market online and generate their own leads. They only offer them their business opportunity. This is a huge problem. Here is why:

1. 95% of the leads that you generate are not going to join your business. (This is an industry statistic) For whatever reason, whether that be financial or timing, most people are just not going to be ready to join your business.

2. If you are spending money to generate your own leads, you better be good at bringing new distributors into your business.Because if you don’t, you could be out of business very fast.

So what do you do with 95% of the people that don’t join your business? You offer them products/services that are going to benefit their lives. This is called the Funded Proposal. I remember when I was a complete newbie. When one of my mentors offered a product that was going to help me grow my business, I was more than happy to buy it. Let’s face it, if you are not willing to invest in your education, don’t expect to get anywhere in your business. You must always be developing yourself. This is after all, a competitive industry.

You don’t even need your to make your own product. You can promote other people’s products. There are lots of affordable products that you can promote in the home business arena. Products by Mike Dillard and Jonathan Budd have always delivered in value.  Products that you can earn a 50% commission on.

If you don’t want to promote digital products such as ebooks/video courses, you can always promote an attraction marketing system/coaching program. When you refer another member to one of these programs, you can earn a 50% commission every month a person that you refer stays with the system or coaching program.

I don’t encourage anyone to spam their list or Facebook/Twitter friends with products or services. I only introduce products or systems/coaching programs to people in a way that it makes sense for people to take action upon. You can promote a product by speaking about what you thought the product/service helped you with and how it can help your followers. People take action upon reason. They don’t buy a product because it is a good product. They buy it because they believe it is going to help them reach their goals in life. Isn’t this the primary reason we are in this industry anyway?

Another thing that you can do is offer your own consulting/coaching. You can charge an hourly rate and provide coaching to the leads who need help with learning how to market their business online. As soon as I started thinking like an Entrepreneur, not just a network marketer, I started making way more money in my business.
